El Minya Day Tour from Cairo by car

In this untraditional tour, you will visit El Minya in Upper Egypt, located approximately 245 kilometers south of Cairo on the western bank of the Nile. The name of this city belongs to Ancient Egypt, as they named it Men'at Khufu, meaning the nursing city of Khufu (Cheops, the builder of the great pyramid). In this magnificent city, you will explore ancient sightseeing, enjoy views of the Nile and agricultural lands, and discover pharaonic tombs and ruins at Tuna El Gabal, Beni Hasan, and Tel Amarna. We begin our excursions including the great plain where the divine inspiration came down on Akhenaten to build his city. Afterwards, we enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Tuna El Gabal to see the tomb of Petosiris, Ibis catacombs, and Isadora tomb. Next, we visit Beni Hasan to see tombs of Ancient Egyptian statesmen, including Khnumhotep tomb and Khety tomb. Before concluding, we head to Tel Amarna to see the northern tombs, including Ahmose tomb and Huya tomb, before driving back to your hotel in Cairo.
